In this lab students, working in partners or small groups, will further explore the system BIOS options.

  1. Reset BIOS to defaults
  2. Demonstrate how to switch primary graphics adapter between add-in card and onboard graphics
  3. Set Numlock ON at boot
  4. Disable unused onboard hardware and explain why this is useful
  5. Disable bootup splash screen
  6. Disable quick POST
  7. Show full POST boot process
  8. Be prepared to answer questions about the purpose of various BIOS options
  9. Reset BIOS to defaults
