Though the exact length of an article review will depend somewhat on the source article and topic, it is generally a good rule of thumb to assume a well-written article review will be 2.5 to 3 pages in length (double spaced, 1" margins).

Article reviews should contain two clearly indicated sections. First, a summary of the key points and information presented in the article, this should fill the first page. Pages two through three should be your own analysis of the article. Explain what the article means and how it is relevant to the topic under discussion.

Although grammar is not specifically graded, it is important that your summary and analysis be clear and businesslike. Keeping this in mind, points may be deducted for writing issues. Writing assistance is available on campus, contact the instructor for more information.
