Your ITC domain account is used to provide authentication for virtual machine control, VPN access, and many other critical services. It is important that you set a secure password on this account. These instructions can be used to change your password.

Prerequisites

  • You must have an active ITC domain account which you know the password for (contact your instructor for more information)
  • You must either be directly connected to ITCnet from a computer in a lab or have a working VPN connection to ITCnet
  • Your new password must meet the complexity and length requirements

Password Change

  1. Use the a remote desktop protocol (RDP) client to connect to the vamt.campus.ihitc.net server
    • NOTE: Be sure to set the correct domain when connecting (e.g. use username@campus.ihitc.net for the username)
    • NOTE: If you are on a Windows system you can use the built in Microsoft Terminal Services RDP client by opening a Run dialog box and running "mstsc.exe" or finding "Remote Desktop Connection" in your programs list or start menu.
  2. Send a Ctrl-Alt-Del to the VAMT server by pressing Ctrl-Alt-End on your keyboard
  3. Select the "Change a password..." option and follow the prompts to change your password
  4. Select Start -> Log off to close your connection the the VAMT server
