Lab Reports
For each chapter having lab activities you will need to submit one lab report which covers all of the lab activities listed below in the chapter. You do not need to submit answers to the questions in the activities, those are for your own learning use only. Lab activities may include remote equipment access, campus equipment, or packet tracer activities. If you work with a partner on a lab you only need to submit a single lab report for the two of you but it must have both your names on it. Each lab report is worth up to 20 points.
- Lab 1.1.2 - Implement Inter-VLAN Routing
- For Fall 2020: This lab can be built and completed in Packet Tracer. Use the 4331 Router and 3650 Switch. You will need to power off the routers and add serial cards to them in order to make serial connections. You will need to add a power supply module to the switches to power them on.
- Lab 2.1.2 - Observe STP Topology Changes and Implement RSTP
- For Fall 2020: This lab can be built and completed in Packet Tracer. Use the 3650 and 2960 switches. You will need to add a power supply module to the switches to power them on.
- Lab 3.1.2 - Implement Advanced STP Modifications and Mechanisms
- For Fall 2020: This lab can be built and completed in Packet Tracer. Use the 3650 and 2960 switches. You will need to add a power supply module to the switches to power them on.
- Lab 4.1.2 - Implement MST
- For Fall 2020: Beginning with this lab you will not be able to use Packet Tracer. You will need to connect to the ITCnet VPN and use the ITC CCNP Temp Remote Network Pod.
- Lab 5.1.2 - Implement VTP
- Lab 5.1.3 - Implement EtherChannel
- Lab 5.1.4 - Tuning EtherChannel
- Lab 6.1.2 - Investigate Static Routes
- Lab 6.1.3 - Implement VRF-Lite
- For Fall 2020: This lab uses a slightly different network topology than all other labs in the class. Because we can't easily reconfigure the remote access pods you will need to modify this lab a bit in order to complete it but you should be able to still setup VRFs on R1 and a serial connection between R1 & R2, Ethernet between R1 & R3 and Ethernet from R1 to S1.
- Lab 8.1.2 - Implement Single-Area OSPFv2
- Lab 9.1.2 - Implement Mult-Area OSPFv2
- Lab 9.1.3 - OSPFv2 Route Summarization and Filtering

Homework
Homework activities will require submitting the actual answers to each question in the activity and may require showing your work as well. Homework assignment are individual, you and your lab partner need to both turn them in separately even if you work on them together.
- Participate in an online forum discussion (typically 3 quality posts or more) of each chapter on the NetSpace site. See forum posting page for details. (up to 10 points each chapter based on quality)
